How do I close it up? According to the old 2.49 version I am supposed to click C.

I’ve managed to make a bolt out of bezier curve like this:

According to the tutorial I am supposed to click C but it only opens circle selection. How do I close it?

You close curves with Toggle Cyclic. Should be in the Curve menu or the button in the toolshelf
