Normal maps from Unity not working on Blender models, help!

I am missing something. I tried several models (a basic cylinder for example) created in Blender and loaded in Unity. When I try to apply a normal map nothing happens. If I apply a texture, the color changes but that’s it (the texture is not there).

If I create a cylinder in Unity next to it, the textures and materials are applied correctly.

I tried recalculating normals, loading the part in different ways… nothing. I wonder what else I need to make the textures work.

Any idea?

When rendering or/and in the 3d viewport ?
What renderer ?
What material settings ?
Has the object been UV unwrapped or if not are you using the correct texture mapping coordinates
