I’m late to the game from the start of my blender journey to get acquainted with the HopsCutter workflow. Well, now I’m here. The blenderbros courses are making that catchup fun and informative. And the more f-bombs, the better
Anyway, finally done with this mech. If you know the course, then you know I colored outside the lines just a little bit. Lots of back and forth with design choices. Lots of sketching and loading in reference planes to trace my own ideas! How seriously I took this course was both funny and very helpful. Paper and pencil is now part of my design flow for the future. I wanted to stand out from this pretty saturated course submission, so, I threw some guns on it, and gave it a custom paint job. Some of the design doesn’t match itself, and that’s OK. It’s my first mech and first model with this much going on that I was solely responsible for. I only used one maybe two kit bash elements and then still transformed them enough to be mine as well. Enjoy!
Oh! Two shoutouts. The Watchmen smiley was a thought I had a couple of weeks ago and wanted to give a shout to Sanctus materials latest version. His decal module is pretty insane! I also used MaterialWorks from blenderbros for the all of the main materials. Also a great product once you get in there and mess around.
