I have scoured the internet to get started with blender, the result is this sculpt. I have learned the commands and my way around blender enough to start seeking the advice of others.
I have seen many sources for organic modeling say to sculpt, retopology, texture, etc.
I’m trying to find a balance. What details do you think should be sculpting. Do uv unwrap the sculpt after sculpting and texturing for all the detail, and put that on my optimized new retop mesh? Do I create all my bump maps from this master sculpted mesh?
