Nothing shown on "Text on Curve"

Hello, I am a beginner for blender.

I do the following steps to make a text curve referring a tutorial on the web.

I draw a circle or a curve,
Add a text,
and select the text and look for the name of curve line on “Text on Curve” by clicking it.

But I could find nothing on the “Text on Curve” box.

Did I do something incorrectly?

The text on curve checkbox is in the Font panel. The curve object you’ll need to click on will say under object will say circle, or curve depending on what you used.

You’ll need to click your mouse in the text on curve box to find your curve object.
