Nowhere - Surreal and Abandoned Imagery

Rendered using K-Cycles 3.3, using AGX color management.

I used mostly Kitbash3D’s Americana models as well as personal ones to create this surreal hole coming out of nowhere in a parking lot.

I also used this piece to test Bagapie’s group functionality, so I could create groups of trash/decals/rocks and put the scene together more easily.

The rocks coming out of the hole are instanced collections/groups made with bagapie

Details on the asphalt such as cracks are just decals, some of them have parallax oclussion depth made with V-Shade

The scene is lit with 3 lights, one big ambient light to lit the scene, one tiny light to contour the objects and the subject light in the middle of the hole to make it pop

The plants inside the whole are from Botaniq and Creeperscapes

There’s also a skeleton hidden in the back (he follows you everywhere you go)

Hope you like it!!

This is the kind of hole one should probably stay far away from, but I can’t help it, I want to get closer!

Thanks so much for the art breakdown; I always appreciate learning how people go about creating their work.
