For those that think we never do figurative work in lux
This started out as a luxrender test but turned out even more interesting imo, who lets these people into their home in the middle of the night without a “agenda” right?
the cloth is using a material called “rough glass” in lux…really there are other ways to do hair clearly, even to the point of just doing video game character hair, but I got used to the particle system in blender and have yet to take the time to figure out a a really good way of doing it in lux.
I am glad you noticed the expression, while these are really just test figures I worked for a while to get her face right heh. I have other more advanced versions of these characters now but these are great for skin and light testing because the render really fast.
heh, ya he is a old version of a model that I have totally rebuilt but I like to use him for these kind of tests and also he is creepy in a fun way I think, as far as her hands go heh, the idea was to suggest a defensive gesture, I to thought it looked like she was <censored> but I showed it to my girl friend and she said it seemed defensive, so a bit of thought went into that hand gesture tho I am not saying its right.
<rant>The main point here is to show that you don’t need SSS to do skin tones in unbiased rendering, in fact I have never liked SSS for human skin for a lot of reasons, I like the way absorption is working with those figures personally better then I would SSS which I don’t think really models whats going on with skin.</rant>
