NUMkeys won't rotate view

Hi, I’m new here. Just running through the Noob to Pro tutorials on WikiBooks. Hit a bit of a snag.

As I understand it, NUM4 and NUM6 should rotate the camera. When I first tried these hotkeys, they worked. After a bit of tinkering, these keys now seem to add and remove frames for animation. I don’t recall doing anything to change the function of the keys, and I have tried restoring to the factory defaults to no avail.

Any ideas?

Do you have NUM Lock on?
Also, you can load the Default Settings.
It’s in the file menu, but don’t forgot, you’ll have to “save user settings”
