NutCracker stopmotion animation

Happy new year everyone.

Did I manage to make you believe that it was really a stopmotion timelapse?

Quick stop motion experiment done from a motion capture file. This procedural setup automatically animates both hands of the animator onto the NutCracker. The dance motion capture file is from the Mixamo and then retargeted in blender on the Nutcracker and stepped interpolated to give this stopmotion look.
I really like the vintage wooden painted toys look.

Made with #blender
Textured in #substancepainter
Rigged in blender
Motion capture file from #mixamo
Retargeting in blender
Rendered in #cyclesrender with a single GPU
Compositing in #aftereffects

This projects motivated me to create a nutcracker pack.

Very beleivable. It had me convinced and I was going to ask where Blender had a part in the production. Lol. Good work.
