object renders very bright

Open the blend file and hit F12 to render
you will see what i mean
this has rendered just fine with other lighting setups but i need it for a different project with different lighting and i cant figure out what is causing it. The blend file contains the lighting rig that i need it to work with.

Thanks for the help guys

It’s difficult to know what you mean by “very bright” unless you post some examples of what you think is good and bad. That said, at first I viewed the file without unpacking the “banana” alpha image, and got horrible white fringing. When it’s composited with the banana leaf image it seems to render just fine, but maybe you’re calling this too bright?

Imported banana in a new file, checked “Premultiply” on texture, sized it a bit down to get rid of outlines, recreated sun and hemi. Not bright anymore.

well, the white fringing is exactly what i meant by very bright, but when i went back to the blend file to give you a picture of it, the white fringing was gone and i had not done a thing to it since. So im kind of confused but… problem solved.

This is how it was rendering:

this is how it should have looked (and mysteriously is now):

In case this happens again, did you mean you sized down the texture on the UV? Premultiply was actually the first thing i tried
