Object tears up in sculpting tab

I modeled a pillow which I use Cloth on. I only put on pressure and turned off gravity. Now when I go to the sculpting tab the pillow acts weird. What is going on?

Welcome to BA :slight_smile: You need to Apply the cloth simulation before you can sculpt on it

When I hit Ctrl A it doesn’t become any better. I use a subsurf and I’ve already UV unwrapped it.

Apply the modifier, then you can sculpt:
