I purchased some FBX models from CGtrader and they seem fine, except the one single material I use on all of them looks white, as it should, on some, dark grey on others.
I did some research, but all info seems deprecated - there are no vertex colors, just “Attributes” - position, sharp edge, UV_channel 1. Deleting the latter 2 changes the look, but in a bad way.
Normals don’t change a thing. On one of the models, I Smart Unwrapped the UVs and some strange things were gone, but on that file, Blender gets hung up.
I’m out of options, have to deliver tonight and don’t know what to do
Hmm… a bit hard with no further info about the material… but does the model have custom normals ?? Try to delete them… (…or just use another material you know… ?? … i mean… its’ white painted (indoor) or buffed (outdoor)…)
It’s my standard Archviz stucco. Used every day without issues. Custom Normals - how can I get rid of them? I just copied and swapped parts around now to get at least an even look
