Obsessed With Minutiae

This is a rendered sequence made as part of a much larger project I have been working on for a few years. Inside the elbow section of my Robot Arm is the control circuitry, including this power board.

I modelled this at an insane level of detail, which allowed me to use it as an opportunity to experiment with emulating macro photography (for a competition).

Rendered at 5120 x 2880 @ 512 samples in cycles, using Blender 3.5. Photoshop used to create some labels.

Very cool. The only thing that bothers me is the green colour of the LED. While the red really looks like a light, the green doesn’t shine brightly enough. The LED looks more like a green, inactive LED.
