oh mah gawd halp me...

I don’t know how to change the point precision in Blender 3D…
Like, when I try to measure radians, I only get 3 points of precision which isn’t really all that good 'cause yeah.

Like, I get 3.142
It does this with everything including radians and stuff.

when I really want is 3.141592654…
Like, I should totally be able to change that…
I tried googling how to change this, but I didn’t get any results… I hate google sometimes…

Also, whenever I try to change the values in the operator panel when using the graph editor, it translates the object in the 3D space and not the actual graph values… that’s really annoying. I’m thinking about using an actual CAD program instead of blender because of this now, but I haven’t really gotten into CAD programs and stuff so I don’t know any good CAD programs or whatever.
I think I should just forward this to those blender devs or whatever instead of posting here actually…

Moved from “General Forums > Blender and CG Discussions” to “Support > Basics & Interface” (it may also be helpful to have a more descriptive title for your thread)

Blender does store values with higher precision… it just doesn’t display them. If you manually edit a value, you should be able to see this.

Also, Blender is not a CAD application. Perhaps you could explain what it is that you’re trying to do.

Oh, okay… I’d still like to be able to see more points of precision in the view though.
What about the graph problem there though? I like to be precise when using the graph editor for animation… I can’t do that 'cause I don’t know any other way other than using the operator panel options after moving some points on the graph around and that doesn’t work 'cause whenever I edit the values in the operator panel, it moves the 3D object in the 3D view and not the actual graph points…

By “operator panel”, I’ll assume you mean the Properties region (N) in the Graph Editor. And if you’re changing the values of location keyframes from the Graph Editor, of course that’s going to move the object in the 3D View. Those keyframes represent the location of the object, so if you change them, it only makes sense that the object in the 3D View reflect the change.

Of course, if that’s not what you’re talking about, perhaps it would be more useful if you share an image or .blend file that explains your problem more clearly.

… How come the values in the panel change every time I move a point on the graph editor???
Is that a bug? Also, values in the graph editor don’t just represent that… they can represent anything if you know how to program.
O______O

Can everything I suggested be a future feature in Blender, please?
Y’know, like changing the default point precision of the view and fixing the panel issue here?
