Well got inspired from the film nausicaa from the valley of the wind and decided to make an attempt in modeling an ohmu which is actually a huge insect from the movie…

That is so neat! I also read the comic somewhat the first few pages before putting it down as it wasn’t quite my type, even though I really some manga. You went for a realistic approach, I think the render will go a bit better if you put a background against it, and tried to get a bit of personality on the creature. Look forward to what you come up with!

Beside the great modeling and sculpting, I especially like the lighting and texturing! Excellent, really photoreal. Gets me thinking “would be great to see composited into live action…”

Actually i have not sculpted the mesh…
I just used fractal subdivide and the rest of the skin effect comes from the material…

It looks great! Very wet and slimy, but still seems to have a hard exoskeleton. Do you have it rigged? You should try an animation with it. =)
