ok.. now how do i make the render window bigger?

this place has helped me alot and now i need more help… how do i make the render window bigger, so I can see the entire image

Go to the display buttons (F10) you’ll see two buttons labeled SizeX and SizeY you just SHIFT+LEFT CLICK on them and type in the sizes you desire…

I hope this time I’m faster than Fligh percent… lol :stuck_out_tongue:

Spyros.

nothing happens when i press it…

I wanna add, if you still don’t see the whole image, that would mean that your camera is too damned close… You may have to move the camera a little far from the object… lol… :stuck_out_tongue:

Spyros.

When you press what???

Are you in the display buttons??? Press F10!!!

If you see those SizeX and SizeY buttons you have to LEFTCLICK on them with your mouse while holding the SHIFT button ( that’s what SHIFT+LEFT CLICK stands for…)… Then you get a red cursor and you can fill in the values that you want…

<EDIT> Once you type in the apropriate values hit ENTER to accept it… lol some times we think that things are too obvious for the people…

how far away dose it need to be??

First of all try to read again my previous post and make sure you do everything correct, in order to change the rendering window size…

If that’s your case, I can’t tell you how far… Just experiment a little bit… Take your camera into various distances from your object and try to figure out in which position you get the best resault…

One more thing…

In the display buttons there’s also another button labaled OSA… It stands for Oversampling… Just press it and choose a value from one of the buttons bellow that (5,8,11,16)… You get better rendering resaults… Trust me on that… But you have to becareful… A higher oversampling level (16 for example will get you a better pic, but it will increase the rendering time, so you got to choose with wisdom…)

I hope it helps…

ok… i’m trying to make a ball with spikes… ez? right? not for me i cant get all the spikes to show? what do i do?

Can you post a pic or the .blend so I can understand what your problem is???

hmm… i am a newb… so i dont know what u r talking about… explain what u are talking about and how i am sapposed to do that.

You can post pictures on this forum or the .blend, provided that you have uploaded them on a web page of yours… You can use the <img> and <URL> buttons for that…

Well, anyway never mind that…

Let’s focus on your problem… Why can’t you see all the spikes… Is it because the camera is too close to your object… Is it something else???

If you can’t post a pic, please at least try to describe what you see as much as possible so that we can understand what’s going on…

I guess you could right click the ball, hit tab, then right click the individual pink dots you see. They will turn yellow. Then press G and drag the points out to make spikes…

Also this will answer a lot of questions;

http://download.blender.org/documentation/NaN_docs/Manual2.0/Quickstart.html

In this tutorial, you will animate the rolling of a ball across a stage :o
Its easy … the stage is already made!

This page has some good info and the stage file.
http://www.ee.oulu.fi/~kapu/cg_course/compgrfx-27.htm

You will need this small file;
STAGE.BLEND
it contains the stage.
The tutorial shows you how to add a ball…

And, you should look at the links the others have provided, here and in your other posts. There are a lot of one page tutorials that will help a lot and there are several Key Map pages available. They show what all the keys do in one page. I forgot where I got mine… I did a ‘save as’ on the page so it just saved the page without the web address.

Never Blend without it… LOL! It lists all the keys.

i know how to make the spikes… but i cant see them in the render

O.k. the only thing I can do, is this:

Under my post, you’ll see a button labeled “email”… This is my e-mail…

Just save your Blender scene and send the file to me by e-mail, if you want…

Maybe if I see what’s going on, I’ll be able to help you…

This is the only thing I can think of, right now…

how do i make the camrea above the object? i think thats my problem

O.k…

Just place your mouse cursor over the camera and right click on it… It will turn purple… That means it got selected…

Now change to a suitable view (Front, right, top whichever suits you…)…

Press G…

Now move your mouse and you’ll see that the camera will move along with it…

Just move it to a suitable position… Then press Left Click… The camera will be placed in it’s new position… If you press the right mouse button instead, the movement will be cancelled…

Experiment a bit till you manage to place the camera in the best position…

I surely hope this will solve your problem man…

One more thing to be more exact…

The camera doesn’t differ than any other object in Blender…

You can move it with G, rotate it with R and scale it (change it’s size…) with S…

Experiment with these shortcut keys, till you get more comfortable, with them…

LOL !!!

Put your cursor in the 3d window
Hit 0 on the numpad
Select object (pink)
Hit S and scale it so it fits in the dotted lines.
