This is a quick modeling and material exercise to further test some of the new Blender 2.8 features and addons.
The house is very typical from Paraguay (actually a few blocks away from my place) and the nearby region. Hope you like it!
Here’s a rainy version! This was done with animated noise for bump and volumetrics. The vector distort node group from the Variety node pack became essential for this kind of procedural motions because it helps making it more natural and avoid being just a texture displacement.
The falling rain is a 2d overlay put in front of the camera with alpha and a glass shader with low IOR. I works amazingly well because it interacts with what’s in front.
