Old Computer Room

Rendered in Blender Internal. PostFX were done with After Effects CC and Photoshop CC with the Analog Efex Pro 2 plug-in.

The terminal in the center is actually a microfiche reader, so the text on the screen and the keyboard with it aren’t appropriate - but the backstory is that someone working on these computers modified it to be a computer screen.

I’m always impressed with what beauty people can pull off using Blender Internal. A lovely little render with a strong atmosphere, and has a bit of Fallout vibe to it.

Thank you! Fallout wasn’t a direct inspiration but there certainly is a resemblance.

Blender Internal doesn’t have the advanced shading and lighting that Cycles has, but it’s still considered the engine of choice when it comes to stylized elements like the lighting in this image (due to how you can use shading to drive shading, set the color of shadows, ect…).

I do agree, it is quite good for a Blender Internal render, noting the fact this one plays to its strengths.

Very much glad to see it here. Looks great as usual. Carry on!
