Hi…i making a bottle and im not sure how to model an old fashioned bottle cap any help would be nice.
I’m not in front of a Blender enabled machine at the moment so I can’t provide examples but in theory you would start with a disc or cylinder with 36 or so vertices around the edge.
Extruding down on the disc, or using the vertical faces of the cylinder, grab every other edge and scale them in slightly towards the center which will create the rippled effect of the cap. Look at a few pictures though, as the inward area is much longer than the outward ripple so you might grab every second edge and pull it in.
