Challenging myself to short sculpts to try to memorize forms
20 mins - not as bad as i thought. elastic deform, crease, smooth, add tools
How should I setup a blender preset to get me straight into it? maybe with eyes or not?

I like the nose at least but i’m getting some very angry old asian lady vibes
Saw a speedchar live video. learning to use the grab tool and draw sharp. gives a good sense of brows, eyes and lips quickly
I’m starting to get the basic shapes of the lips, nose and eyes i think.
Tiny eye makes for great eyes and I used a principled shader with subsurface for the skin.
i’m getting better at the nose and lips but the eyes still elude me

feels like a step back. its the smaller forms that are eluding me still
from a reference - what’s wrong with the lowerhalf of her face?

You can’t accurately capture a face from a single angle, especially not a 3/4 view.

Following grant abbit’s tutorial. Even with guides, it’s still diffucult to get the proportions right. I’m quite happy with this however.
What focal length should I be using when sculpting?

It’s very, very, difficult to accurately judge a face without eyebrows. Your sculpts are always going to feel weird without them

it’s a face, albeit not the one in the image. speedchar’s youtube videos are helping at least make it look human.
