OMG Adobe

Have to share this.

My coworker reached out for me, she cant cancle a CC licence and reduce them from 8 to 7.
I said, yeah only works via phone or chat. Seems adobe still refuses EU law to provide an easy online cancle button.

So the coworker contacts adobe via chat to cancle a licence.
What happens?

The adobe seller made my coworker accept a deal, keep the 8 licences but get an discount. Now we pay less for 8 with discount, than for 7 licences without discount.

I guess the adobe seller gets an bonus for every cancelation he avoids!?

Or the Adobe Seller need to show high figures to adobe to maintain a discounted price…so he needs that people counter still growing and growing…as Adobe will continue to ask him to increase the people counter… it’s just this beautiful system.

Whilst I don’t like Adobe’s pricing, I still haven’t been able to find an alternative that is as good as Photoshop.

It costs me £120 a year for the photo bundle, but I still do think it’s money well spent, since there is no other photo editor that competes on the same level, in my opinion.

Yes, usually sales people get paid by the amount of customers they aquire.

So in 6 months your coworker needs to say she wants to reduce from 8 to 5, then negotiate back to 7. See how much of a deal she can get.

It’s stupid but these companies won’t stop playing games.

I use this tactic with my ISP. I call, first thing I say is I want to cancel immediately. They transfer me to a different department and ask why? I say it’s just too expensive and I don’t need it. They give me up to 50% off every time for a couple years. Then I have to call back again and do the same thing in 2 years. Worth it though.

Too bad it doesn’t work with electricity and other utilities. They just say OK fine, we’ll cut you off. What day should we end it?
