Great details. Only focus blur is too strong in my opinion.
I agree that the blur is really not very realistic. And, to me, not really beneficial.
As an aside: I have come to despise “Useless Without Remote” technologies. My parents once had, of all things, a mattress which could be adjusted for different firmness on either side. Lots of equipment and tubing needed to do that. Then, one day, it lost its marbles . . . and my parents had a devil of a time finding the remote! There were absolutely no controls on the box itself – you had to use the remote! With both sides now inexplicably deflated, they couldn’t get in bed until they (finally …) found the thing.
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
Your result is so good that people are mostly just pointing out small stuff like the defocus effect being a bit too strong, and honestly I kinda agree there too. But seriously, great work.
If I had to add one more thing, I’d probably bump the button subdivs up one level.
Hi,
If willing to share: I assume the screen (based on the unrendered slice) is a decal with height or just normal mapping?
thanks . ill take your advice
Thank you all. I will take your advice into account in my next projects.
If you want the complete project, I’ll give it to you.
Sorry if I didn’t ask the question clearly.
When I saw the unrendered part and there was no geometry there, I then assumed it was something like a decal (akin to Decalmachine) or maybe it was something to do with texturing+normal mapping (akin to Substance Painter or something else).
I was curious/wondering (if you were willing to tell me) how you did the screen, basically ![]()
That looks great and nice textures! Did you use substance painter?
Yes, I’ve used Substance Painter. Blender still needs some improvements when it comes to textures.
Cool yeah substance is the best.
You’re on the featured row! ![]()
