Here’s my next completed project. This project involved scouring the web for elvish writing, then actually finding an elvish font! Thankfully there was a tutorial on how to make the ring inscription.

The text on the ring is either not in English (or Spanish) or is just random characters.
I see you used the spinning camera with empty target method of DOF. Good use of the effect.
This text looks the real elvish language text from LOTR.

The Elvish writing is not gibberish, it’s the actual excerpt from the book. And that isn’t gibberish either. When you translate the writing from elvish, in english writing it is-
ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul,
ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul
Which is the “Dark language of Mordor”.
I used ZBlur to achieve Depth Of Focus.
Course, I could eaily tweak the ring to look thinner, but I don’t feel like re-rendering

very nice indeed…im amazed by the texturing of the letters…or are they actually vertices?
the one problem i could say is that the gold doesnt look quite right
the ring looks too yellowish…not like real gold
