Opacity/Alpha maps broken in 3.6/3.6.1?

Anyone else tested a opacity map for leaves , just plug into the Alpha slot. It seem broken or did I miss some new settings?

edit: It seems to be issue with this specific PNG from Grasward. No issue with any other PNG Opacity files.

It’s not broken. Here it works perfectly well. Probably your opacity texture doesn’t have the black pure black. You can use a map range node or a color ramp, or even a RGB curves node to solve that.

No issue here either, no.

I don’t know what happened, but my corrector made my last message full of mistakes.

If you use .PNG with a alpha mask you need to connect the alpha output from the texture to the Alpha from the shadernode & if you use translucency for leafs - you need a complete different setup
For more info take a look to this excellent example : at the bottem off the page there is a nice group node
