how to I could make blender run faster. I recently bought a new computer and it is slower than my old one. I was wondering how to optimize blender to run faster on my new computer.
Use Linux! 
A lot of new computers do not have the latest or greatest video drivers. See if you can update your graphics drivers. Also there are a couple of different Window redraw options for Blender under User Preferences/System. On some systems using an alternate Window draw method can increase performance.
Post the specs to your machine.
