I’m working on a scene with really simple geometry and lighting, but some complex materials that slow down rendering a whole lot and I don’t know wether there is any way to optimize them…
When rendering with just standard principled shaders, a frame takes about 13 minutes, whereas when I plug in all the nodes, it jumps to about 6 hours.
I know you can bake materials to reduce render times, but you can’t bake to UDIMs and blender crashes when I try to bake at around 15000x15000px or higher, so that’s not really an option.
Are there ways to optimize render times for computationally intensive materials?
