Greetings everyone. This artwork is part of my Glass Render series. Yes, I do really have a glass obsession, which is why I try to improvise my glass shader for each new piece of art.
I’m not technically qualified to comment on your apparent fine-points about “glass render.” The only thing that I can say is that – say – “if the first shot were a movie poster, then I would be first in line to watch the movie.”
In each and every case: “yes, it is obviously ‘glass,’ but it is clearly not an ordinary bottle.” The top of the container catches the light. The glass looks like it contains smoke. The bottom of the container visually contrasts sharply with the chair – and in a very believably physical way.
Just as importantly: “the chair,” and the lighting of it, is very strong. Subdued on the upper left-hand side, very strong on the lower right. Which creates an extremely strong diagonal line which cuts straight through the origami.
And: you didn’t ignore the “twelve to four-o-clock” areas. Those strange (window) lights? Might the movie tell me more? Let me buy a ticket …
