The atmosphere is fantastic, just like the materials! I’m especially enjoying the subtly recognisable fly screens! The whole scene reminds me of the book “Where the Crawdads Sing”, which I have recently read!

Thanks for the comment kaamura, appreciated.
Not familiar with that book

This looks wonderful, but the one comment I’d have is the light / portal placed in the foreground doorway to the left breaks the immersion as it cancels out the shadows.

Sun is coming towards the viewer but the shadow cuts off the wrong way. This is where light linking would be useful or at least tone it down a bit. If feels like it’s sapping the attention forward by creating unnecessary contrast. Try looking at WanderingDP videos to see how these kinds of lighting situations are handled in real life commercials, I started applying those a while back and helped a huge deal.

Try this just for giggles, change that light a bit and/or reduce contrast on the door frame shadow or darken the doorframe in general, the key light is behind it so it should be darker, you’ll see the eye will get more drawn towards the chair and centre than pulled down and towards the camera a bit.

Nicely done though, beautiful details! Hope this helps

Thanks DaQuteness for your comment, I’ll certainly take a look at those videos.
