Paint n Stick sticky pass

Does anyone use the After Effects plugin “Paint n Stick”?

There is something called Sticky pass, which has the shape of the model with gradient color

How to make it on Blender?

It looks like it is just baked (in rest pose) 3d position in object coordinate system used as a texture. I’d first try this: subtract the object location from geometry position using vector math node, plug it into emission shader, bake it to texture and then use this texture for rendering the sticky pass. Maybe it will work.

I wonder if it’s similar to the “vertex color”?
