Paleoart (New Sphagesauria)

Hello friends! With the guidance of researcher Arthur Dentello, it was possible to portray the small and new specimen of the crocodyliform Sphagesauria in its paleoenvironment.

The work was created with Blender 4 and Substance Painter.

The scene shows the Adamantina formation during a rainy season. The presence of a small temporary river can be seen. Taking advantage of the resources provided by the rainy season, we have two individuals feeding. To highlight the heterodonty of the specimen, we have the predation of an amphibian in the foreground, which would be facilitated by the caniniform teeth; in the background, we can see the consumption of gnetophyte seeds, which could be crushed by the animal’s molariform teeth.
I really liked the result, so I made some renders from other angles:

Thanks!! I’m glad you liked it! It was really cool to produce this work based on fossils and paleontological data.
