Is there a way I can have a solid looking particle effect? It always renders the particles with a halo type material, even if the material in the buttons window isn’t.
think about it, if the material was really applied to the particle it WOULDN"T RENDER AT ALL
particles don’t have a size, a 0 unit colored something doesn’t make any sense
[neither does the normal of a particle]
… now then, I present you with a solution
make some [say a cube] the child of your emitter, and in the object buttons [like where the particle settings are] hit the duplivert button
then your particles will be that child object
