Particles intersects and go through the mesh/emitter

Hi guys, I have this mesh/character, is emitting particles but the particles do go through the model as well, which is not optimal at all, I tried collision but doesn’t work.
Is there a solution ?
thank you in advance

Hard to say without screenshots of your particle settings and viewport

Sure, here they are

Could be wrong but from the top of my head:

  • inverted faces?
  • normal velocity too low? Since in blender it depends on the size of the object.
  • Use modifier stack when you have some modifying the general shape of it
  • Try to use the mesh as a force that pushes particles away if they spawn correctly on the outside

Is that for a thanos dust effect?

Faces are correct.
Modifier stack ? what you mean?
Use the mesh a force ? how ?

This is sandman from spiderman

Dont tell me you use blender but have not touched the modifier stack?

Just check the option in the particles tab and see if its better… (use modifier stack)

For the mesh to be a force you click on it and delete it multiple times to get into the mini game. Then beat the boss and you got it.
Joking. You click on it and in the physics properties you add a force field to it.
May the force be with you and pretty sure there is a tutorial out there for it…

I’ve tried the mesh option as force, but it just go crazy.
and looked already for tutorials, couldn’t find what I was looking for

Thats expected. Needs a low value

velocity ?

I would try duplicating the object and make that the emitter. Set it to not render in the particle settings. Scale it up a little on it’s normals in edit mode. Does that accomplish what you are going for?
