Particles slide after collision instead of tumbling

Hi there

Can anyone tell me how to get particles from an emitter to tumble off the surfaces they collide with? I’m trying to create a small explosion inside a loungeroom.

You’ll notice at about frame 27 there’s a chunk that slides across the arm of the couch, while other particles slide along the corners of the room.

I’ve been tweaking for hours. What do I need to do here?

If you do this the particles will roll when they hit…

…aaaaand then you need to adjust everything else again…
because now most of the particles roll out of sight.

The Random setting is connected to the Dynamic tickbox just above it. No Dynamic, no roll.
