Partly Transparent UV maps?

So i wanted to created a low-poly, ragged piece of cloth. I presumed this worked with a UV map wich is partly transparent (IE i’ve unwrapped it, and only partly filled the layout of the vertices, and the rest was left blank/transparent). When i put the uv map on however, the bits that i left empty/transparent in the image editing program, are now white. So it obviously didn’t work, or i made a mistake.

Attach your blend file (make sure you pack your texture with the blend file from the File / External Data menu)

-impossible, not working properly. I get another window saying i can upload files, but it doesnt do anything when i upload files…:confused:
