Hello, I just tried a test render with ao, simulated drop shadows and some reflective material. Its simple but I like the way it came out. This is the first time I really delved into lighting and shadows etc. so its not perfect. Sorry for small res.
Here it is:

the visual cues are partially conflicting. Most of the image suggests a strong sense of perspective: the strict geometric layout, the reflections, the shadows etc. But then the shadeless / flat material of the spheres contradicts this. Perhaps this effect was intentional?
Interesting nontheless!

I knew someone would notice this. This is partially intentional, since when I made the spheres un-shadeless all sorts of wacky lines came out and I wasn’t sure how to fix it with lights, so I just stuck to shadeless.

This looks more like a test then a finished work. But interesting anyway.
