i like the look of the material for the black front grill
Here are the settings for both types.
black_diff is the grill around the logo.
black_diff.001 is the black that you see most of, above the fog lights.

i was just wondering, everyone can do it but me, how do you model the edges of the pannels?
eg, the ends of the hood?

If i understood you correctly Ionee, I made these quick tutorials to show you how to do it:
thanks, this is usefull but its not as easy if you have a subsurf mod on.
Its easier to disable the subsurf and make the gap(?) and then reable it.
same result???

also, im guessing after you split it, you crease the edge on either side of the gap, so the subsurf can work… without smoothing it out…
Or you could add a loop either side of that edge, the closer they are the sharper the crease gets.
Got started on the scene. I know there are some things to change, but tell me anyway if you see anything that needs to be changed. I might take away the barriers.

@Ionee - I got rid of the barriers and it looks a lot better.
