No I was too lazy… Wanted to do scratches and proper UV but lost interest… Decided it’s better to post it than let it rot on my HD, maybe someon could use it.
Shading problems are fixed in model I just don’t have time to rerender in full res.
The brass horn is very well done, just the right balance of gloss and matte. The grooves in the old Victrola vinyl are way too large, however, and too uneven. My family once owned a collection of these treasures, and even an old phonograph of the era. The platters were much thicker than modern vinyls, about 1/8 inch, and while the grooves were larger, it isn’t noticeable to any degree to the unaided eye. The vinyl used had a matte finish to it, unlike the more modern glossy vinyl.
The grooves tex was just a temporary solution (one of things on to do list that never gets done:)). The record on ref photo was even more glossy, probably the new ones. I don’t own any records so I stick with that. Will do more research on future projects. Thanks!
