So you’re not allowed to imbed the image in your post like this?? So I don’t have to close 15 windows after opening one?
Allright. I just changed it, so you might want to get rid of the picture in your post.
Hmm, Piano, I’ve seen that show around…is it any good? What’s it about?
Anyway, the image is really dark, I can’t really see anything so…heh
It’s all right. I like it. What I personally like about it is that it isn’t “epic”. It’s just about a girl who has problems and overcomes them. I don’t especially like that part of the show. It’s just… nice to watch. Oh, and it doesn’t really have a lot of philosophical or “moral lessons,”(although there are not a lot of objectional things, just a couple) so I like how it’s just a piece of entertainment and not some sort of life-changing show.
I’ll post more pics as I progress. Maybe they’ll be brighter.
Is that a classroom? Whats the object on the far right, I can’t see anything!!
I think it would look cool if you applied a “dust refraction” effect in that light bounces off dust particles, might help lighten up the room a bit. Course I’m not sure how you would do it.
—Sounds like a pretty depressing show.
-edit: you could create a plane and apply a noise texture with alpha?
Well, it’s not depressing. I don’t see how you would think that.
Oh, well. Thanks for the tip. I might actually do that dust thing.
The room will be lit up later.
EDIT: Oh, and I meant to ask, is it that you really can’t see anything(like my monitor is not adjusted right), or is it that you can see it, but not that many details? It’s dark for me, too.
Doesn’t look like a monitor problem, I can see that it is a room with windows. I suppose that the object on the far right is a plant?
It looks good, Could we see a wireframe?
Good luck,
Nik
–Actually… when I look down at the scene at a 10 degree angle details start popping up…
You might be able to easily fix your lighting problems and help the look of your renders as a whole by using a linear workflow. It’s fairly easy in blender with the addition of a couple home-made nodes.
http://ypoart.com/tutorials/tone/index.php is the link to an excellent explanation of the subject, and if you don’t want the hassle of fiddling with image values in external programs, this is a lifesaver pynode that enables gamma correction for material colours. All the same, you’re off to a solid start, it’ll be nice to see this when you’re done.
Thanks, ZombieJohn. I’ll try that.
Here’s an update. I’m using SSGI(ScreenSpace GI) and some other nodes.
I’m still working on the lighting of the darkness.
Piano, I’ve seen that show around…
