*Pixelated* Texture

I sculpted a trunk of a tree and now I have a problem when I try to set up a texture on it. Some of the polygons don’t stick together correctly and the bark looks squarish. How would you resolve that?

subdivide the mesh and/or use soft lighting

I have a different problem now – have you seen my question about blender tools? I would appreciate if you could drop a sentence e about that.
