I’ve fiddled with a trial version of C4D in the past. It’s a competent and relatively accessible 3D editor, with some nice features, such as the procedural motion graphics toolset, a great spline toolset and the non-destructive OpenVDB SDF-style volume modeling tool, although that quickly becomes slow as soon as you add details in a bit higher resolution. MagicaCSG is much faster for volume modeling.
C4D used to have the edge over Blender when it came to modifiers, but that’s not the case anymore, and 3ds Max remains the modifier king i.m.h.o., although Blender is catching up with the Geometry Nodes approach.
