I need to make a plane that always faces the camera when the camera is moving, the plane is used for a pickup item, there are lots of the item and I have an a sprite ready for it.

in Top View add a plane.
Enter Edit mode and in Front View turn all the verts to the left ( -90).
Now “unwrap” the face and enable “Halo” ( for 3D) or “Bilboard” ( vertically aligned) buttons in “Texture Face” panel.
