This is my first post here, and i’m a complete newbie, so be gentle.
I’m trying to make a spaceship (yeah, original…) right now i have outlined the basic stucture of the ship… See the attached image, but i would like to turn it into a box, (closed)… how do i do that? I saw the Alt-c option, but it doesn’t do anything…
Alt C converts non-mesh objects (nurbs and bezier curves) to mesh objects. It won’t do anything to an object that is already a mesh. What you want to do, I assume, is fill in the faces on the sides. In edit mode, in edge select mode (easier that way) select the top and bottom edge of a face you want to make, then press FKey. You have to do it one face at a time.
BTW, posting wires (Ctrl-F3 with the object selected, in edit mode, edge select mode) usually makes more sense in the modeling forum. In order to give good advice, people need to see how it’s built. Make sure the cursor is in the window showing the wires, Ctrl-F3 just takes a picture of one window at a time.
