I am making a wing and for wing membrane I have used a plane.
This means that when I turn the wing around you cannot see one side of it because of the way that Blender deals with planes. Does anyone know how to make the face be visible on both sides without increasing the poly count.
I have tried using the ‘Solidify’ modifier, but even when I turn off the ‘Fill Rim’ option it still increases the poly count by a considerable amount which I can’t afford.
I have tried turning off and on backface culling to see if that fixes anything but it doesn’t work.
If anyone knows a solution to this that would be fantastic!
I have started using Blender Game as the renderer and turned on GLSL rendering (and turned off textured solid) and now the back of the wings show up! Hooray!
However when it is now imported into Flash the wing backs still do not show up. I know that this now passes into somewhat non-Blender territory but I am assuming that it is due to a exporting issue or something else in Blender… Does anyone know what this could be now?
Yeah so now it definitely turns up in the view port but it still doesn’t display when I import it into Prefab3D or when I try out Game/Start Game Engine in the top drop down menu. Is there a fix for this because as I said before I can’t really afford to increase the poly count…
