Does anybody know how I could create a dust sheet like texture ?
been playing with the prinicipled shader and the glass shader to no avail! its like it needs to absorb all the light and replect only a little with a hint of transparency. but i cant get it to look good.
I think you need to increase the roughness and lower the transmission, remember that thin plastic don’t have a high IOR so play with low numbers like 1 - 1.3.
Plastic have about IOR 1.45, but if this is thin walled you have to use refraction node with geometry/incoming as the normal, then fresnel mix that with glossy. Current principled can’t do thin walled refraction. The refraction could also be mixed with a mix of diffuse and translucency for a more generalized approach, even if that contributes almost nothing in this particular case.
