I was working on a Donut the other day and a person mentioned it looks like like plastic, so I turned to learn more about shader nodes and everything to do with textures and color. If anyone could suggest any settings / options that will make it looks “sweet” or more photo real?
Adjust roughness and give it a bump. Provide realistic lighting by creating off-screen geometry or using an HDRI world. Highlights from point lights never look good. Adjust IOR (for Principled shader, specular) values.
You can try adding a finger print in it.

It needs variations, both a bump map and color variations. Try to play around with noise textures.
