I am engaged in rendering and video editing. I am faced with a choice which video card is better for After Effects: GTX 1080Ti or PTX 2070 ??? :мышление: Tell me your professional opinion. I would be very grateful! Thank you in advance
I’m no expert mind you, but I know a bit about hardware. whether or not a gtx or an rtx is better is dependent on whether or not it supports real-time ray tracing and has sufficient VRAM. generally, more vram is better to a point, but you also need a beefy cpu to take care of all the other demanding processing power that isnt necessarily graphics related. if cpu isnt an issue, and you are trying to future-proof your rig for a card, an RTX 2070/80 will do if you can afford it. the most important thing about buying a gpu in 2020 is real time ray-tracing and if its a a big enough upgrade in vram from what ever you currently have to justify the cost.
