As the subject of this post says, it would be better if the box was ticked by default. I really don’t know why anyone would want to leave it unticked (we all know how to delete cookies, right?). At least the option to untick it would still be there anyhow. At present I often forget to tick it, only to find myself logged out very soon, sometimes while writing a post.
