Please smooth this out

(LBJ) #1

Could you please smooth out this object to make it perfectly circular and smooth?

Try to keep the mesh as intact as possible, just make it smooth and seamless.!Ansq7V5Mt2BreISHj5r4FVbcwFo

I just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum.

Moderator, please move this to volunteer work.

What you can do is just select the parts you want to look smooth and under the “Shading / UVs” tab, click “smooth” under “Faces :”

Hi, I fixed the issues your model this time, but keep in mind that I won’t always do this:Die Glocke - fixed.blend (4.1 MB)

There are a lot of basic concepts you need to learn in order to smooth your objects. You didn’t even set the shading on the object to smooth. Here are some tutorials that explain different ways to smooth an object:

Your model’s topology will also affect the result from the subdivision surface modifier:

You used ngons (shapes with 5 or more edges) for the bottoms of different parts of your mesh. You should avoid leaving ngons if you plan to use the subdivision surface modifier.

Thanks! I’m still new to blender and don’t know how to use all of the features and tools.
