PNG Texture interrups Freestyle

Hi there
I’m currently working on a 2.5D project that uses png image textures on characters for facial expressions and hands. The characters are outlined using Freestyle edgemarks, but the transparent Png textures interrupt the freestyle when they are on top. This happens even if I turn on exclude in the Line Art object property of the image plane.

Any ideas on how to solve this? I would like to continue using the image planes because that makes it easy to switch between expressions etc. using texture offset

Hi, that doesn’t really solve the problem as I do want to render out the planes, I just don’t want them to be affecting the Lineart. But I decided to turn them into planes instead of textures as well now and just animate the visibility instead of the offset.
