Just wrapped up a little Mother’s Day render.
Trying to stylize different ‘nature’ elements into low poly. Also animated it—that bit was difficult (I’ve never really animated anything.)
The bee’s legs are keyframed, the rest is noise-animated. See the rig down there ↓
Also used SSS for the petals, but (for the first time in my life) limited it to the edges using the pointiness mask. Makes a real difference!
I’d be thrilled to hear your opinion/advice. Be as harsh as you want
first, a still:
And the video in 50% resolution (see the full size here)

Also a peek at the viewport if you’re curious. The stems & leaves are all instanced with Geometry Nodes.

Short video of the rig in action.
Simple rig, IKs for the legs. No pole targets, I don’t know enough about all that.
The only part that’s keyframed is the legs. I constrained the IK target to Empties so I could use Snapping and stick the feet to the ground.
Bit of a hacky workaround just to use snapping—anybody have a better way?
All the rest is animated with noise

Looks great! I love low poly art.
The animation, too, is amazing!

Wow, glad you like it.
I’m always looking for more great low poly artwork (it’s so inspiring!). Do you know of any great pieces I should go look at?
Not off the top of my head.
